Companion Course: Deaf Awareness and Communication Insights (CC004)

Description

In this lesson, you'll hear directly from deaf individuals as they share their personal experiences and perspectives through a series of TEDx videos. You'll also explore key issues related to Deaf identity, communication access, and educational attainment, and you'll discover additional resources for further learning.

Their stories and perspectives offer valuable insight into the diversity of Deaf culture, identity, and communication preferences.

Building this deeper understanding will help you feel more at ease, confident, and informed when working with deaf clients or colleagues — especially if this is a new experience for you!

This Companion Course complements other Basic Skills Companion Courses, each designed to deepen your knowledge and broaden your perspective as a communication access provider.
